Bourbon Street Productions and Cukjati Design generously donated their time and resources to produce a video communicating that Colorado Springs and surrounding communities are safe, beautiful and open for business.
With support from an Ingenuity grant from the Pikes Peak Community Foundation, a group of enthusiastic citizens are banding together to launch a social media initiative to connect the community with ways to support local business recover lost revenues after the Waldo Canyon Fire.
“MYtineraries: All the Adventure, None of the Baggage,” is a fresh and invigorating celebration of ‘place with purpose,’ that builds upon the staycation concept with an added level of community support. It’s intended to lift the Pikes Peak region up during this time of diminished tourism and travel enabling us to land on our feet with even more strength as a community.
This started as an idea among friends to help re-energize the towns impacted. Coupled with their civic love and their unified connections, it has exploded into a formidable campaign. One dozen entities united to extol the jewels of culture, entertainment, dining, shopping, natural wonders and more that we have in our backyards.
You can post your MYtinerary to the Facebook page and share it with your friends. Whoever has the most “likes” by Monday, Sept. 3 by 5pm will be the winner of the ultimate staycation package at The Broadmoor.
